have I been doing what I do?
My name is Debra & My Husband is Alan we are well known by many .
I Named the business MY
OLD DUTCH Beacuse I am London Born & Bred
and My Grandfather used to sing the song MY OLD DUTCH .
I Am completely self taught
with the Hair & make-up, photography , and also in the Millinary work I do. AND HAVE BEEN DOING THIS FOR MANY Many
YEARS
and I have taught many others to do Hair & Make up. ( I also do workshops for Hair/Makeup
&
pin up & pose )
I have been doing Vintage Hair and Make-up , Make overs since the 1970s
it started as a hobby (and it was more for the Rock n Roll scene!) . As my children were growing up ,
I have made what I do in to a Business ,AND HAVE BEEN TRADING AS SUCH FOR MANY YEARS .
I can do Hair & make-up from
Georgian times to1980s, but I specialise in the 1920/30's/40's/50's. Vintage Hollywood Styles.
I have worked
in T.V. & Theatre, I have also turned down and still do turn down ,much work in this area incuding
Celebrity scissorhands ,
this is not to say that I Wont take work in T.V etc ,
as I do have things in the pipeline now , with
regards to tv, and coming projects with My Old Dutch. So watch this space .
I have worked with Burlesque
Artists, Celebrities, and performers , on Photo shoots, as well as the General public ,and transformed
them to give them that Hollywood Glamour! or Retro / Pinup Style !
I work from Home in Dover Kent all year round , and
at Events , also in my Shop . I can attend private functions by arrangement, eg: Photo shoots , Hen nights, Birthdays
,Weddings ,lockins at my shop etc ,
and also do private Retro
/Glamour Photo shoots BURLESQUE ,,Biker PHOTO SHOOTS
( this is mostly Kent based work).
